由知名电玩记者、作家与主持人乔夫‧基斯利（Geoff Keighley）所发起、被视为游戏界奥斯卡的年度游戏奖项「The Game Awards」，于美国时间11 月13 日公布了2023 年的入围名单。预定 12 月 7 日下午（北京时间 12 月 8 日上午 8:30）在洛杉矶孔雀剧院 ※ 举办的颁奖典礼上揭晓得奖名单，将全程同步直播。

今年TGA 共分为31 个奖项，由全球超过120 家媒体与意见领袖所组成的评审团选出入围游戏，最后综合评审团评分（90%）与公众投票（10%）结果来选出各项目的得奖者。其中《心灵杀手 2》与《柏德之门 3》共获得包含年度最佳游戏在内的 8 项提名，是本届最被看好的作品。次之为《漫威蜘蛛人 2》的 7 项提名以及《超级玛利欧兄弟 惊奇》、《塞尔达传说 王国之泪》与《Hi-Fi RUSH》的 5 项提名。就发行商来看，获得最多提名的是任天堂的 15 项，次之为 PlayStation 的 13 项以及 Xbox / Bethesda / Blizzard 的 10 项。
